Can eating foods with red food dye in it cause rectal bleeding?

I think I have an allergy to red dyes. I had a tattoo with red ink and the tat got infected only in the red ink area. When I drink red juice drinks I always seem to get rectal bleed. I have seen Dr already before and he says it is an iratable bowel. He also removed some polyps.

It seems as though your Dr. answered the rectal bleeding question. I do have a comment on the red dye. I found everytime I drank a scorpion bowl my nose would itch for at least 20 minutes after. Then I had marchino cherries some time later. i put two and two together and the scorpion bown had cherries loaded in it. I am obviously allergic to a red dye also. Chinese pork, that bright red stuff also made my nose itch. Be aware of foods that contain this dye. Juices also.
