thanks for "getting it". i think it's a perfectly legit question and the dodging and weaving just goes to show the lie behind the "miracles happen" crowd.

The point of miracles is not to show off What God can do. If a person makes a decision to follow the Christian faith based on seeing a miracle then they have made a decision based on an emotional response. The thing about emotions is that they change.
Some people could see miracles all day and it would not change their mind.
So for miracles to be done in the way you are talking about I have to ask what is the point?
If a person does not believe God can do miracles seeing one will not change their mind.

God makes miracles happen, if you don't believe that is your choice and you are entitled to that. An amputee is merely missing a limb from their temporary body, our souls are what matter and God provides miracles on your soul. The amputee could have had a horrible infection in his or her limb hence why it was amputated, the amputee in that case is actually very lucky to be alive for if the limb was not removed the infection could have killed them. Believe in miracles and miracles you shall see, believe not and never get the overwhelming satisfaction of seeing a miracle of God. You choose.

That's sort of like saying "God, I don't trust or believe in you unless you make my amputated arm grow back." That's like telling God what to do. It doesn't work that way. Why stop with just wanting miracles with amputated limbs? Why not want big time aid, change, miracles in areas like: bankruptcy, needing glasses, win the lottery, miraculously change a failing grade into an A. It would never end. Nobody said that this life would be easy. Nobody said to just God and He'll do whatever you want Him to. Even Paul of the Bible, had an infirmity. We will be made whole in Heaven and Heaven lasts FOREVER.

Please go back to his question and see the rest of the answers. I for one understood the question and answered that God has no need to regrow limbs because it serves no purpose to glorify Him. He allows us to go through what we must in order for us to experience something that God is trying to teach us, or in order to be of help to someone else through our experiences someday. It is far more miraculous and glorifying to God to see a life changed in a person who has gone down a horrible path or a person cured of a terminal illness from which there was no hope. God can do anything, and He can regrow a limb, but that would be too obvious. God doesn't want us to trust Him and believe in Him because He makes Himself obvious to us, but because we have faith in Him despite the fact that He is NOT always obvious. As I said in my last answer to the other question you mentioned, my brother was born with Down's Syndrome. I believe God could have made him not retarded and allowed him to live a "normal" life. Then my brother would not have died when he did. Still, I can look at my brother's life and see how many lives he touched and how many people he blessed with his innocence, unconditional acceptance of others and his simple enjoyment of life in and of itself. Yes, I believe in miracles. I am one of those people who have experienced God's miracles in my life - not by some obvious outward sign, but by the seemingly impossible situations in my life that turned around in a very miraculous way.

The Israelites and a lot of people who followed Jesus while He was on the earth, saw many miracles and STILL didn't believe. The Israelites saw the Red Sea parted, walked on the dry land between the parted waves, saw Pharaoh and his army drowned, were fed in the wilderness and they did not believe, either. So; Brendon would not believe either - human nature hasn't changed one iota throughout time. "Blessed are those who have not seen but believe" !

I know what I require from faith. What are you looking for? What will do it for you? Anything? Nothing? Pick up a newborn and just consider him or her. Make a life. From nothing. From raw materials. From banana peels. Miracle occur everyday all around you. When you are ready, you will see them.

every year, thousands visit the vatican in hopes of being cured of an ailment of sorts. In total, only 6 miricals have occured. None with proper support, just hear say.
Regardless, in a pool of hundreds of thousands, 6 people are bound to recover from something seemingly impossible. Its just the odds. How come everytime the bodys fight off something, or do what they are designed to do, or doctors are trained to do, it is god doing it?

miracles are seen with the heart
and amputees can be renewed through prayer. its not their physical bodies that are being rebuild, but their spirit. God will build up their hearts. these bodies we are in now are only for a short moment in time, they mean nothing. its whats on the inside that needs to be worked on.

we dont believe in miracles we believe in the power of God
but you dont understand that this world is created to test people and thier patience not only in grief and sence of lost but in happiness and abundance too.an amputee is suposed to be patient and the near and dear ones and others are suppose to buck up him help him .as far as not seeing and still believing is concerned religion is all about that we didnt see God but still believe in Him.we havnt seen paradise or hell but we believe in it too.we havnt seen are respectable saviour like Jesus(PBUH) and Mohammad(PBUH) but we believe in them . so these ups and downs are meant to check your actions

Miracles aren't meant to be obvious, otherwise everyone could easily show that it's smoke and mirrors
