his statement is:
"I will be boiled and then eaten."
because if they think it is false it would be true and if they thing it is true it would be false

It can't be true, because if it were he wouldn't be lying. If it were false, he would be lying and so would be telling the truth. So the cannibals couldn't make sense of this statement and presumably he fled while they were trying to work it out.
