You're implying there's something wrong with them because they aren't exactly like you. How selfish and small.
That would be like praying I had been born with blue eyes instead of green.

The healing comes in a different form, that of a prosthetic device. I have prayed that all people would come to know God and have life eternal in the Heavens. I haven't seen that happen yet, but I don't doubt that God has the power to make it happen. I do know that since God had the power to raise the man Lazerus up out of the grave when he had been dead for several days and put life back into him so that he was walking out of his own tomb and was seen by others, then if someone asked in faith believing that God would replace an amputated limb and did not ever once doubt that God would, then I know He would grow one back. Maybe He will even allow you to see it happen so you will cease to tease His children with the questions you are attempting to belittle Him with. It will indeed be too late when the trumpet sounds and the dead in Christ shall rise, too late for you to try and change the choice you made long ago not to accept Jesus.

I have never done so because even though God can do ANYTHING, those who have a relationship with God and who allow God to be an influence in their lives understand that God allows things to happen for a reason, and generally has no purpose to give someone a limb back. My brother had Down's Syndrome, which he was born with. Sure, God could have healed him from that condition and he would have been "normal", just like everyone else. God could do anything. Still, it was far more glorifying to God to see how my retarded brother touched those around him, than it would have been to make him a non-retarded individual. My brother died and is now a perfect human in Heaven. It is far more glorifying to God to heal someone from their emotional baggage or from some addiction or other great struggle in their life that would seem to be insurmountable, such as a lifestyle of bad choices or a terminal disease such as cancer that there is no hope of curing in that particular individual.
God will do what He knows is best in the long term. He allows each of us to experience what we do because He sees the whole picture. While He loves us and doesn't want us to be unhappy, He also wants us to trust and love Him, and He promises to bless our lives despite our struggles. Try it sincerely and you will see. It's true. Sometimes God wants to bring us through the fire so that we will be in a position to help someone else through that same fire someday.

~ As a Christian, I pray for Pastor Tom's amputated leg stump to heal... that the Lord would continue to bless his work with the stump to cause a toughening of the sensitive areas to where he can wear the prostetic device without pain... I pray for his other 'good' foot to be healed of an open wound, which was giving him a problem.
~ I don't feel that 'we' pray for the amputated portion to be regrown, because that would not be possible (to my knowledge).
~ However, there are proven cases of finger(s) and/or thumbs growing back in children... but only up to a certain age group.
Several sites to check... many more on the www...

"Yup"?
As in, Christians have prayed for amputees to be healed? That wouldn't surprise me.
But if you are suggesting that one or more amputees have in fact had their limbs restored you are going to have to present the case.

I'm sure some do, I don't. I pray for them to be blessed with the transportation and the finances to get the prosthetics that God has given his children the smarts to develop. neither do I pray for a bus to come along since God has blessed me with several nice cars.

Only demented Christians would do that. Leave the poor amputees alone already.

I am no way in favor of god, but this one doesn't make sense to me. If there were a god, if it wanted them to have their limbs wouldn't it have just prevented the loss?
