tell her that she's only putting her body in starvation mode, meaning her body is gonna start eating away at all the muscle FIRST, then move to the fat.
tell her to lose weight the right way, through exercise and proper nutrition. She's not exactly skinny with those stats, but she is still probably healthy. just have a serious talk with her about how what she's doing is just simply not good for her.
if she wont stop, no matter what you do and say, you may just have to tell her parents. she may get mad at you, but you would be saving her years of her life from recovery when she really does develop anorexia/ bulemia.

Well, it appears as though your friend is about to get into a serious eating disorder. you have to confront her before its too late, but remember, she is in a troubled state right now, she might snap at you but don't take it to heart and don't be discouraged, when people have eating disorders they are being controlled it. She probably wont be glad for your help at first, she'll think you're trying to control her, and she is very independent and i'm pretty sure is not ready to admit she has an eating disorder. Please confront her, and talk to her about it. You might just be saving someones life. You can also go to this website, because it will help you out, www.mirror-mirror.org

You seriously need to talk to her parents about this, so they can get her into counseling before she puts her life at risk.
And it probably won't work, but anorexia happens when a girl thinks she is fat, and wants to lose weight to look good, right? Maybe tell her that she is so skinny that she is disgusting to look at and she would look much better if she gained weight. Probably won't work but it's just a theory.
But seriously, you need to talk to somebody who can get her some help quick.

Long ago when I was in high school I had a friend who did the same thing. I talked to the school nurse, who in turn, talked to my friend. (the nurse let me remain anonymous. my friend was initially very angry about the nurse finding out) She got some brochures about where to turn for help. It didn't completely stop the problem but it did lead her in the right direction. You probably don't have access to her family doctor, but maybe you can talk to your school counselor or nurse, also. They can probably give you the info you need to help your friend. You're a good person for trying to help. Kudos.

Well being a grade A psychologist in the matters of Pysiological Animaea-Dichotomy.
Well let me put it in terms you may understand.
She should just eat some food. and if she throws it back up, she should just eat that. Cause theres no point in wasting more food cause she thinks she's better than us by throwing it back up. I think its a real jerk thing to do considering kids in africa have to eat their own throw up every day.
I hope this helps.

Talk to her parents or family member.
Get someone involved...they thrive on secrecy, the more that know, the more help she can get. But don't embarrasse her.
