I just don't get it. Does the girl get out, or not? What do the damn cake candles mean? Was that Juno in the car? I need some perspective...

I just don't get it.
I am not only speaking about one particular ending. I've seen BOTH of them, both the American, and the original one released in England (which is just a few seconds longer).
Right before the movie ends, the "wife/mother" gets out of the friggin cave, runs to the car, gets in it and starts driving. She stops the car, throws up, and turns around...and oh goodness there's someone in the car with her! A lot of people say it's Juno. I don't think so....
In her flashbacks, the birthday cake keeps getting shown. Towards the beginning of the movie, there are only 5 candles on the cake, and towards the end there are only 6. I keep hearing that this has significance...whether with her daughter's age, or the fact that 6 of them went into the cave.
My questions -- was that Juno who scared the crap out of us all? What do the candles mean? And did thr girl get out?

The first time I saw it I took it to mean that the whole escaping thing was a hallucination but a freind of mine swears up and down that she got out. He says the end when it shows her in the cave again is just like a flashback sort of, like she still feels like she's in the cave. Like her mind will always be plagued by what went on in that cave and what she did to get out and how she was the only one of all her freinds to escape.
I think I agree with him more then my own initial perceptions.

if you remember in the beginning of their trip to the mountain, Juno explains that this is not the kind of trip you take if you aren't in a good place mentally. Obviously the blonde was not in a good place and thus went crazy in the small space. Even if you're not claustrophobic, your mind will still do things in small spaces like that. She started hallucinating, killed everyone and sat there lost in the cave,soon to die. the demons were only in her head

She did not get out. After that scene it shows her waking up from being knocked out in the cave, escaping was like a dream. I think she was seeing her daughter because she was fixin to be with her, dead.

it means they want to keep it open for a sequal...lol from what i could tell, the other girl did get out (in my opinion, she was wrong for messing up her leg in the first place cuz she wasnt there to know what happened with the other girl's death, oh! and she was stupid for coming up behind her so quietly in the first place! thats why she got stabbed!). im not sure how she got out, and i dont know what she will be or is already, but shes out, and looked pretty mad. and the last two made it out of the cave, but i dont know if the blond one is out of the woods yet...pun intended
i cant remember any candles...sorry...

no she dies. her last thoughts are of her daughter on her birthday. but she does not make it out thats why they just cut away on that nice note.
and is juno in what car? the car the family died in? no. juno was sleeping with her husband. she was not in the car with them.
PS anyone answering this question who saw the movie in the theatre she is talking about the dvd ending they are different!

Dam ending sucked looks to me like she was still in the cave just as the movie ended most likely they all ended up dying.
