Any Buddist churches that follow the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh in the San Francisco area? He founded the Unified Buddhist Church, and there is one in Escondito, but that is in Southern Cal, and I am in Northern. Thanks for any help with this!

No, but he does teach Zen Buddhism, but just all the Zen centers in San Francisco are Japanese origin. If you come across Shinto Buddhisms, I have to say it's not the same, and continue looking for zen.

The closest affiliated center near you is 'Ordinary Dharma' in Los Angles. You may want to check further on www.buddhanet.net

The second closes type of Buddhism would be Shambhala Buddhism. I did get to meet Thich Nhat Hanh at a Shambhala center, and there good ties with both sanghas. Try one or both to support your three jewels, until you find a way to connect with what you find to be more solid with you..
