How do I transfer energy from the mousetrap to the car?

Building Mousecars, Physics, How would I connect the mousetrap to my actual car and what would I have to do to get the enrgy from the mousetrap into my wheels?????♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

I thought I had seen this done before and it has. I found a link to instructions and even a picture of a mousetrap powered toy car.

You can use many simple machines to do this - try attaching a string to a pulley that is attached to the axle.
