It should be noted that only some Christians supported the war intially. Although the media has a tendancy to tie Christianity with the Republican party or portray Christians as Bush-devotees, there has always been a sizable contingent that has disagreed with the war. For instance, the vast majority of African-American churches that I have visited or have been associated with have continuously taken the stance that the war in Iraq was a mistake. Therefore, I am not surprised by this rally.

I supported an invasion of Iraq back in November 2002.
I still support the war today.

Tons of people bought into the Dubya's propaganda machine, not just Christians. The man took a tragedy, and played off of the sympathy/patriotism of the people in order to do as he wished. Just be grateful that people are waking up, and realizing that something desperatly needs to change over there...what we've done so far isn't working.

People will see and act on the truth to whatever extent they are able. All Republicans are not mindless, nor are all Democrats. Many people on both sides take responsibility for their beliefs and refuse to be followers just for the sake of fitting in.

Republicans will always be Republicans. The war was a mistake I will give you that. I spoke out about it from the get go. But we the average and lower income Americans have always lived better under a Republican Government. That's a fact Jack.

What lie did we not see all along? I think you might be paying to much attention to the main stream media.
I don't know much about this group in the article so I can't form an opinion on them. I do know that the world is a safer place because of the Iraq war.

Everyone on this orb we, all live on should be protesting against Iran and North Korea with their Nuke build-up. Do you really think when the U.S. withdraws from Iraq will prevent Iran from Building Nukes and starting using them on Israel and N. America ? Iran IS the main instigator of the war in IRAQ - not George Bush !!! I'm Canadian and do not have a vested interest in the Republicans.

My opinion:
You are looking for evidence to support you hatred toward Christians. You accept anything that is derogatory in the news about Christians as truth.
You are unable to recognize a Christian. According to Jesus, you will know them by their love.
Your politics is your religion.
You parrot anything Christian-bashing pundits put out.
Your belief system is anti-Christian, and rational arguments are ineffective with respect to your feelings toward Christians.
The fact that I recognize the traits you are displaying angers you and makes you feel that I am being judgmental. It would never occur to you that I am simply able to recognize and discern your feelings in this situation.
You do not consider anything you say to be judgmental or rude. You have convinced yourself that your bigotry is justified.
You have been misled by false profits who profess belief in Christ, but do not hold to any of the truths he taught.
Your political party is your religion.
You are disrespectful toward anyone with opinions that differ your own, and you attempt to demonize them.
You categorize Christians and Republicans as one in the same and are not able to discern the difference.
You are mean spirited.
