I will let you talk about God all day long....however when you start spewing your own hatred, damnation for all except your religion, and shoving it down my throat....that is in no way an intelligent discussion and I have no problem doing what I can to stop it.

When you ask a question in a public forum, such as this, you are asking for information from all quarters. For example; if you ask about a particular bible passage, and someone has a completely different interpretation of it, are they wrong for sharing it?
Yeah, you're going to get some trolls who answer, just for the sake of being seen. You'll get some pretty intelligent answers from the opposition too, and maybe you'll take away a little bit of understanding and information...or at least something to think about. The differences are what make this particular catagory interesting...

Because there are just a lot of people out there who hate God. Jesus could not have said it in a more clear way when He said "light(meaning Himself) came into the world but men loved darkness because their deeds were evil". My personal experience has been that when all those people out there who are always talking about tolerance and free speech tell you that, what they really mean is that "we want you to have free speech as long as you are speaking what we want you to speak". That's what they mean by free speech.

People spew hate, because they are targeted by intolerance themselves. I am sick of being told I am going to hell, and god is going to desend to earth and all people who are "christians" will have crosses on their foreheads, only visiable to fellow believers, who are all going to heaven.
For the most part, religion is where a person is born, and no one has the right to preach. As long as you are not trying to convert or condem me, I won't stand in your way.

Anyone is free to answer any question. I suggest if you want to be exclusive that you find a chat room and talk about God all you want. This is a question and answer site. It is not for discussion. I think you must realize that not everyone on here believes in God. While I respect your right to be here, I hope that you respect the rights of others to be here also

Chill out. This is a free speech discussion board. It's not like anyone is preventing you from getting married, or intruding on personal medical decisions, or knocking on your door and blathering about their religious fantasies, or telling kids they are going to hell.
That would really be obscene.

I agree. If a person has something decent to add I'd welcome it. Even if it was in disagreement. It's the low-brow jeering and ridicule that gets me.
See what I mean.
