bc its a difference of opinion. you admit yourself they taste different to you but you dont mind. some people do mind bc the taste difference is bothersome to them. its like people who prefer either coke or pepsi or say coke compared to a grocery stores generic brand of coke- they taste different to most people and some prefer one or the other while other people dont care. same for water that tastes different.

Mmm..I dunno...water has to be so much more than cold. Cold water from the local high school's fountain tastes SO much different than say, Aquafina. Ever notice how some bottled waters taste too sterile? Like liquidized hospital sheets or something.

When I lived in Phoenix, the tap water tasted terrible. I now live in Oregon, and it tastes like fresh spring water. There is a difference.

However, if you're talking about bottled waters, then yeah, there's not much difference.

Besides tastes....some water has more vitamins and minerals in it and is better for you. Some water has things in it that are bad for you. Diffrent water from different sources have different levels. Well water tends to have more minerals in it that purified or distilled water.

Well there has to be a reason why they taste different - you wouldn't want cold water with pathogens in it, right?

It has to do with the purity, mineral content and ecoli levels. If you're okay with recycled or substandard water-who am I to argue? As long as it's cold-it's okay for you-right?
