Be confindent and wear a skirt, its how you feel that matters don't worry about what everybody thinks, we all have scars some show more than others. I have one down my arm from going through a barb-wired fence when I was 8. Just start with a long skirt and work your way until your comfortable. good luck!

Depending on how bad the scars are you have a few options.
There are topical treatments you can get for scars. Vit. E is a very common (and innexpensive) one. Pick up a bottle of capsules, poke a hole in one and massage it into the tissue. It helps break up scar tissue and should help them fade. It won't make them go away completely, but it will help them fade, maybe to the point that they don't bother you so much.
A more extreme option (and more expensive) is plastic surgery. A surgeon can remove the scar tissue, you will still be left with some scars, but it will be much less. Once the wounds are healed, use the first option.
Untill you can deal with the scars, wear stockings. Get some funky ones with designs on them, or just go with ones close to your skin tone.
Maybe try talking to a professional regarding self esteem. They can help you deal with negative emotions concerning your scars and help you to be more comfortable wtih them.
Good Luck!

I have found that the best way to deal with this is to tan a bit... Honestly, tanning then helps softens lines and helps camouflage the scars. Best way to do this is to get into sports that require shorts as this will mean being active with a bunch of people that normally rates ability over looks and therefore helps both with the self-esteem and self-image worries.

HI there. Id love to help you and I hope what I tell you can help you. If you look at my picture can you tell i have any flaws? Underneath that makeup I have the most hideous DEEP scars from acne. . I use a makeup called DERMABLEND. You buy the makeup (variety of shades) you can buy a dark and one light to mix together to find your shade, that's what I do.. then you buy the setting powder which is necessary to use after the makeup. Its very easy to apply, just apply on your face, use the setting powder and brush off. Its simply just wonderful. Just try it, i know you will love it. It covers anything from acne, scars, blemishes, stretchmarks, discoloration, pigmentation, birthmarks, even tattoos, and more. Stays on up to 16 hours. Give it try. Its not just makeup, its leg and body cover as well thatll help your scars on your legs. Its smear proof and wont get on your clothes. :-)Good Luck!

Try wearing leggings. It won't be as noticeable. But I think you should build the confidence to wear skirts. Everybody doesn't expect perfect legs from you. My friend had a minor scar but she went to get a spray on tan and it was barely visible. Get a spray on tan?

I suffer from the same problem, my advice to you is that you need to first of all keep your legs moisturized, I recommend Aveeno Daily moisturizing Lotion, second buy a fading cream and/or think about laser surgery---help in the long run. To fix the problem now, think about make-up dermablend is sold in Robinson's May/Macy and it's covers well, or get a tan because it harder to see the scars, or wear socking/nylons. Hope this helps!!!!

Have you tried wearing your skirt with close-toed shoes and nylons? You can get nylons in a colour very similar to your skin, and they help reduce the appearance of any marks on the legs!
In some places you can also buy "spray-on" nylons, it's like cover-up makeup for the legs. I haven't tried it though so I don't know how well it would stay on.

These scars are part of what makes you who you are. Change what you can change and live with what you can't change.
I know it is not easy as I have bad scars on one of my legs, caused by a car accident many years ago, but I don't mind because I nearly died, and I am still here years later.

Hey we all have imperfections, some WE see in ourselves, while others do not, some are noticeable to others but usually today everyone is more caught up in themselves to pay that much attention to others flaws.
I am overweight-to my way of thinking.
My teeth are not all there & not straight & perfect like everyone else's.
I have fine, thin hair, now it is turning gray.
I have dry caloused feet that no cream can soften.
My breasts are so big I have a hard time finding a bra to fit & shirts to look right on me.
I live paycheck to paycheck.
I am 50 yrs old & getting older-just now started to "feel"old.
I have cellulite on my legs.
Getting smokers lines on my face-around my mouth.
I do not keep my house as clean as I use to.
I sometimes cannot talk right.
My eyesight is failing.
My hearing is going.
My skin is drying out.
I work nights, husband works days, so I do not get it as much as we would like.
Most of my kids are too busy for me.
MY LIST OF THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR & THANKFUL FOR IS 10 TIMES AS LONG.
Get over yourself & go on.
