Well, I'm 25 years old now, so I don t know if they would remember me But :

Back in grade 3 , I had a teacher named Ms Tracey. She was an old lady back then . And she was soo kind to me. I felt like she was the mother or even grandmother I never had.

Every morning, our class would have journal writing time, and she would put on this wonderfull music on the tape player, and it was of an instrument called "the pan pipes" . . It flowed peace into my whole body. Most times I wouldn t write anything, and just feel the peace in the room.

Ms Tracey would come to my desk during it, and take my book and say "come here" , then I d follow her to Her desk. She would place my book down beside her desk and I d sit with her for the whole journal time.

Also, she would have us go to the nearby park alot with her. To the lake and she would talk to us about the nature there.

I remember sharing many talks with her then even though I was only 8 years old at the time. I will never forget how she treated me so well.

She did somthing for me later that year. It was the last day of her class for the whole school year. And she did somthing that my own parents never to this day ever did.

my birthday is July 1st , and the school year ended in June.

Ms Tracey, had bought a Huge birthday cake for me , and written on it was "happy birthday aaron" . She had the class sing happy birthday to me, and i blew out the candles and we ate cake and talked.

She taught me that the most important thing in life, are the little things that matter most. Seeing each day as it comes , and knowing that somewhere, there is beauty, even if only in a sun rise or a shape of a cloud. It is how I survive to this day, and it has saved my life more then once.

The other teacher, whom I shall never forget, is the teacher I had in grade 7 (four years later).

His name was Mr. David Langton (though I don t remember if that was his correct spelling).

This man, was like a father that i never had. And a life teacher that also gave me the strength for the life I have had.

In the one year I knew that dear soul, He would stand up in front of the class, and talk to us, about Life. About principal s of life. Philosophy . He would speak of such eye opening things, and then in addition, ask us our own thoughts , which showed me that courage to think out of the box of the usuall questions , and doing so without fear, is very important in life.

This is our Freedom, and it helps us to find the Truth of Life.

Some days He would talk with us all day , and other days not so much. But at least every day, after lunch, He would talk to us , and give us at the very least , an hour of the day to talk about Life.

I love Ms Tracey and Mr. Langton. Where they are now, I do not know. But those two , taught me the lessons and gave me the strength to have me reach as far as I have in life, and given me the survival skills I need to remain in life .

After grade 7, I went to highschool, and from there, I never did do well with the teachers . LOL . Yet I had the skills to handle the life that was unleashed on me there by the teachers and students. And to this day of life here on earth.

I look foward to re-uniting with those two dear teachers in the end.

well....i know i'll never answer as well as Aaron does but there is this one teacher that really made me who i am today....i'm still in high school....so maybe i'll fork out anything i hav of this teacher...

she teached me Arabic language when i was in primary school for about three years....she was in her late 50's already at that time...at her first class i felt so bored because i was not interested at all to learn Arabic....i played a lot during the early classes....but she always has ways of her own to get me and everyone else in the class involved in her class...we sang songs together, had colouring competition by identifying the colours and names of things in Arabic and many more....Arabic class actually became fun for me for the 3 years i learned it with her....at times she would teach us things about life especially in my final year of primary school... she told us to be ready and aware that there are far more big challenges and mean things that await as we grow older and take the next step in life...she opened my eyes and broadened my view of life than the childish thinking that everyone in this world will be pleased with everyting i do if i think it's good...hehe....2003 was the last time i saw her before i met with her again this year.....it was during my friend's cousin's wedding...i felt so excited and my body suddenly felt shaky n i don't know why......but.. as i expected it would be...she could not remember me.
we talked a little and she was proud to hear that i did well on my lower secondary exams.....n she reminded me that this is just the beginning n that i should not be proud and too comfortable with what i hav now as it is just a small one....
hmm.....that was the best teacher i had.....n she retired already...hehe....

James Tristan - music teacher in San Jose, CA. He was a big Native American Indian man who was scary and tough, but he really loved his kids.

He taught me about dedication and follow-through as well as teamwork and why learning about many different styles of music is so important.

He retired a few years ago and they shut down the music program due to a lack of funding. So sad.

My high school algebra teacher. He taught us how easy algebra is, not how hard it is. I've had other teachers that thing their subject is so serious and important that they make it difficult... this guy made algebra fun and easy.
