No it takes a month to really see what the color looks like. I have 11 tattoos and i went through the same thing with all of them. So just wait and if it is blotchy or anything go back to your artist and have it touched up or if you think it was his fault have a different artist touch it up.
Good luck

It might be the artista fault, it could be the ink, it could be anything, but have you scratched it? It's important to leave the scabs on and let them fall off naturally. That way no permanent scar willl mess up the effect of the tattoo.

you didnt do anything, the tattoo artist probably went too deep and the color bled. You will have to go and get it touched up. Call and complain, if it is a reputable place they will offer to fix it for nothing

It's only a week old, give it a few more weeks, it will look okay. I just got my new one, it's a month old, and it looked like that, but now it's beautiful =]

No!! The person who probley did the tattoo was unexperienced and probley used too much water in the ink. He deluted it and made it too watery, and didn't use enough ink when he was doing your tattoo.

it just means that the quality in the ink wasn't that good. You are probably going to have to get it redone.
