Me and my family had already paid for the tour trip to China. We have the United Airlines Reciepts, not ticket. It has our names though. I don't know if it is legit. The tour agency isn't that big either. What do you think at this point, I should do? Any comment can help. Thanks.

You more than likely have an E-Ticket. Call United (might want to try this in a few days if your travel isn't immediate, there is a snowstorm in the NE and hold times are LOOOONG). Just give the agent your first and last name and the travel dates and they should be able to locate you in their systems.
Most US airlines issue E-Tickets nowerdays unless you specifically ask for a paper ticket or are travelling on mulitple carriers that do not have ticketing agreements with the other airlines involved.

Call United Airlines and speak to an International agent. They can check on your reservations for you without the travel agent knowing. If you have to you can take the receipt to the United Airlines office nearest you for validation.

Why don't you check with the airlines directly? That should put your mind at ease.
