How do you know if someone is using you?

I want to know if this guy is using me or is actually interested.
We met through a mutual friend when he had just moved to my town. We hung out two times with our mutual friend and then a few nights later, I took him out with my own friends. That night we all went back to my place and as everyone was leaving, he stayed behind. He asked me if he could sleep over and I let him, then the next day he stayed all day and even walked around with me. Now everytime I go out, he is there waiting for me. I can't tell if he is trying to use me to get into the club or if he likes me? He made weird comments to me like "we are so alike in so many ways, we like all the same music - that says a lot!". Tell me what you think!

I think you just might be thinking to hard on this one. Nothing that you have said would make me think that he is using you. But if he is asking you for money and things like that then yeah he is using you but maybe he really is interested give him a try. But don't put all your eggs in one basket.

From your story it is obvious that he likes you a lot. It is very difficult to say that he has some other motives because only him can tell you that and we cannot read his mind. Just continue being friends with him and be careful. If he start asking favour from you one after the other then he is starting to use you.
