Chihuahua sexing?

Question

I bought what i believed to be a 10wk old female chihuahua puppy, but after seeing her hump a few things around the house i have my doubts. exactly how can i tell whether this puppy is a boy or girl? I've heard that female chihuahua puppies don't develope sexually until they are about a year old . Is this true? I'
m kinda lost and could definitely use some advice.

Any puppy can hump things (male or female) at this age humping is not sexual but dominance. A male dog has a sheath against his belly. It's there from the day he's born. The girls have a vuvla between their back legs. The part that doesn't develop until later is the testicals. They don't drop until the male puppy is a little older (between 3-6 months old). It should be very easy to tell if you have a girl or a boy. Female chihuahuas go into heat anywhere from 5-9 months old and males are mature about the same time.

Like I said though you probably have a dominate female. You can tell her no and stop her from humping things.

you should be able to see a penis and your vet should have told you... its almost time for its next set of vaccines... ask the vet to check her/him out when you go for shots/dewormong... they are done every 3 weeks for a set of 3 or 4 depending on your vet....good luck and congrats...that is also a way of trying to show her dominance if it is a female... also you could drop by any vets office and just show it to the receptionist and they could probably tell you right there for no charge...also don't take her around any dogs that you are unfamiliar with that are not or might not be vaccinated.... she is at high risk until she has all of her vaccines onboard....like dog parks and such....smile

Are you kidding?? If its a girl her hooch will be under her butthole, kind of looks like a v. If its a boy his stuff will be under him near his belly button and it will look like a long straight piece of skin and when he goes outside you will see pee come out. so if he pees from under his belly its a boy if it pees from below its butthole its a girl.
