Try to have milk with biscuit or make a bread with slice cheese it might help u to go sleep.

I soak in a nice warm bathtub with all of the lights out except for a candle buring or just the night light on, I close my eyes and just relax and then get out. I dry off but still feel a little damp and then crawl into my bed and am ready to fall asleep.

Drink a cup of nighty-night tea. It's a combination of chamomile and other herbs that make you sleepy. I do this and read. Or get someone to massage your hair/head.
Don't drink hot chocolate because it has caffeine in it. Also sugar makes you jittery.

Healthy diet and regular excercise. This is if you don't already do it. See your physician it may be stress related or another underlying medical condition that appears non existent during the day but haunts you at night.

drink hot chocolate or other hot beverage, eat (easy to fall asleep when i'm full), meditate, watch tv, try not to think about anything important, think of weird unusual things usually takes me into the dream state.

I take a half a Benadryl (over the counter & the only side effect is that makes you sleepy).

go online, drink chamomile tea or a glass of vine, light lavender candles, spray my pillow with lavender.
