I am a Catholic Christian. I can't be certain of the specifics speaking for the Catholic faith, but my personal feeling is this.

If you beleive in a higher being, that there is something after this life, and you want to live a good life -caring, helping, loving others, then I dont really think the "religon matters". I think it is what each individual feels comfortable with. I have the beleif that God is a fair and just God , and have a hard time swallowing that he would condemn peaceful, loving peoples, like Buddists just because they dont worship, and beleive in the same way I do, or others do.

In summary, it's not how you worship . . but that you worship at all, that matters.

Who knows, I could be wrong and I'm damnned *shrug* 8)

Since I believe that the anti-christ is a character in the Bible whos theology has been followed for almost two thousand years, rather than the teachings of Jesus. That few religions can admit its worthlessness because unlike Peter whom Jesus called his foundation who lived for the fellowship rather then the political, not even I deserve salvation, let alone want or have the need to judge others.

Think that you are driving and in a distance u see someone who tells you that there is a danger ahead in that road and to take another way. Its that He doesn't want you to suffer like He had.
Even though I was brought up in a christian family, I felt bored to be in church and read bible, thought all are just religious stuffs.. But only when I am in trouble I call to God, just because no one can help. And every prayer gets answered on time. Then few months back I know for sure that God exists and He only helped me all the time. So I know that He will answer anyone who calls to Him. So somebody is stuck with their life and cannot get thru, I know God will help them, so I tell them, but always its an indiviudals wish, noone can force anyone.. even though i was brought up with christian teachings, I dint realize all were true and was adamant and thought what I know is true and that I know everything. But I found that God is greater than all and Jesus is the way to God, He came from God, died for all sins and has ascended to heaven. It may look like a story or something, but when u experience, its all real. I can tell without doubt.

As a Christian, I feel it is important for people to submit themselves to Christ because He told me to make it a priority.

But it's not as important to me that they adopt my religion or my belief. Meaning, if it's not important to them, then it's not important to me. What is important is that I don't hold back the wonderful news that God has for them. That's the important part for me... the news.

And I don't feel people are "damned" if the don't adopt my beliefs, but I understand they are not going to spend life with God unless they want to. They can define that as damned if they want to (and Christians certainly feel it is), but those who think that's a good thing should consider it so!

Thanks for the question! Be blessed!

I vote that religion be done away with. Seriously, with all the acts of violence in the name of religion (including all wars starting 5 AD), wouldn't you think that something with a violent past should be forgotten by now? Or are the aftereffects of dying husbands and militiamen and others because of religious backgrounds so ultimately horrific that it will ring the bells of the imagination for the rest of the life of the earth?

I will try to explain what motivates some christians.Jesus said I am the way,the truth and the light, nobody comes to the father but by me,so christians know the only way to salvation is through Jesus Christ. In heaven, you will be appraised of what you did in Jesus name while you were on earth and the reward would be a place closer to the light.

Because the majority of people do not even know why they believe what they do. They were told as a child to believe, so they did. People get so angry when others do not except their beliefs, because it makes them doubt. Most people are to scared to even question their own beliefs because the believe they will be damned. It is not about the other person, It is really about themself.

It isn't my Religion, and I'm not Religious. I thank the creator and sustainer of life every day for what he gives us and pray that he continues to protect us and fill us with his truths and wisdom. The spiritual realm even testifies that Jesus Christ is God and came to the earth in the flesh. Creation spirit itself cries out Aba Father. God has made it plain for people to see his love for use in his creation. He also gives inspired words of wisdom threw the Bible and many other writings. How about the fruits of the spirit for instance. Christ asks us to pick up our cross and walk if it be by example or by witness we should try to do it with Ernest desire for the truth and good of men. God Bless!

The human quality you are refering to is known as intolerance. It is quite common in politics and religon. It is the belief that "I'm right and your wrong". It is based in the inability to see the oneness or unity of all life. When one reaches spiritual maturity those differences cease to exist.

Maybe I consider the Great Commission as a "ready, set, go!" that makes evangelization fun. If atheists want to be atheists, that's between them and God, or rather it's up to God who will or will not work in their hearts. I just get to participate and tell others (and sometimes correct them) about my faith.
