NO - but you haven't been specific about the name of the product. There are 24 different adult Tylenol Cold products and "cold cough syrup" is not one of them. I have included a link below to the "Tylenol (McNeil) website. If you click on the EXACT name of the product in question, you will get the PRECISE answer you seek. Not one close, not almost right, like the one's below.

the regular tylenol capsule contains acetaminophen and some inert stuff. the cold cough syrup will probably include tylenol plus a cough suppressant (probably DMX) and perhaps a decongestant. If it is the symptoms of cough that are bothering you the most, you will probably want a cough suppressant. if it is runny/stuffy nose a decongestant is what you need. If it is just fever aches and pains then regular tylenol would be fine. No matter what you choose keep in mind any interaction it may have with any other meds you are taking. If you are pregnant or nursing definitely ask your Dr before you take any OTC (even in the middle of the night) you can call the on-call Dr. and ask what is best to take.
get rest and keep sipping fluids (not pop) to help your recovery. Get well soon!

Tylenol (acetaminophen) is a pain reliever and fever reducer.
Tylenol Cough and Cold (Acetaminophen/ Chlorpheniramin/ Dextrometthorphan/ Pseudoephedrin) is a pain reliever, fever reducer, itching/sneezing and runny nose (allergy-like symptoms) reducer, cough suppressant and decongestant.
depending on your symptoms, you may use plain Tylenol or Tylenol Cold and Cough.
If you have Benadryl at home you can take that with Tylenol to cover the allergy-like symptoms. If you have a cough suppressant at home, you can take that too. But make sure you read the labels because you don't want to over dose on the Tylenol (acetaminophen). The maximum dose of Tylenol in 24 hour is 4g. A regular strenght tablet of Tylenol has 325mg and a maximum strenght tablet has 500mg acetaminophen. Make sure you read the labels on the back of the Cough Suppressant and Benadryl too, as some of these products also have acetaminophen.

At 5 months old, give it to her. It should say on the side of the bottle though. If the starting age is 6 months just give her a bit less. I havent had an infant in a long time but I know I gave them infant tylenol way before 5 months.

What should I avoid while taking acetaminophen?
Ask a doctor or pharmacist before using any other cold, allergy, pain, or sleep medication. Acetaminophen (sometimes abbreviated as APAP) is contained in many combination medicines. Taking certain products together can cause you to get too much acetaminophen which can lead to a fatal overdose. Check the label to see if a medicine contains acetaminophen or APAP.
Avoid drinking alcohol. It may increase your risk of liver damage while taking acetaminophen.

It may have the same ingredients as the Tylenol Cough & Cold tablets...but it does not have the same ingredients as regular tylenol tabs.
Cough & Cold meds usually have the same amount of acetaminophin, but have decongestants and cough suppressants added.

no, cough syrups contain an ingredient called dextromethorphan which supresses the cough, whereas the capsules usually only contain acetaminophen which helps with the fever among other things (the tylenol cough syrup usually contains that too)
