I am the kind of person that can eat, eat, eat, eat, eat, and eat some more, and weigh 5 pounds less the next time I weigh in lol.

I just cant gain any weight, I am 17, I usually weigh in between 125 and 130, I would like to get up to around 145-150, I am a pretty skinny guy, I have a normal workout routine, but my muscle growth is stubern aswell, basically I would like to bulk up a little, before I really start working hard on muscle growth,

So.....my goal is to put on about 20-25 pounds, Would Whey protein along with with large meals work? Or should I try some kind of Gainer Protein?

SUGGESTIONS PLEASE :)

To put on weight, yes take the whey protein and soy protein 95 and just eat normally. When you take the protein, put them in a blender with a banana and some strawberries or cherries, add a few tablespoon of yoghurt and some orange juice.

If you're trying to gain lean muscle mass, you'll need to eat more than you realize. The general rule of thumb is 1 gram of protein and carbs per pound of bodyweight per day, spread out over 5-6 meals, and about 15% of your caloric diet comprised of good fats. This usually means eating about every 2-3 hours. Keep your carb intake mostly before 6pm, unless you work out at night (you want to be sure to get some carbs after your workout along with protein).

Whey protein is pretty much considered the best fast uptake protein. Make sure the kind you get is sugar and fat free. Be careful about weight gainer as it packs a LOT of calories per serving, and extra calories gets converted to bodyfat. Weight gainer is usually only used by pro bodybuilders who are juicing, which is something I could never advocate and is extremely unhealthy.

Right now, your metabolism is pretty much at it's peak, which means you stay skinny pretty much regardless of what you eat. As you get older, it will slow down and you'll have to keep track of that. So, the good habit you develop now will show as you get older. I was pretty skinny in high school too, but I filled out in my 20s pretty quickly and had to watch my diet and keep my activity level consistent.

Just be consistent, make sure you're not overtraining, focus on the core lifts (bench, squats, deadlifts) and don't do too much in one workout and you'll see gains.
