I never really wanted to know. I know this doesn't answer your question, but I have counter quetions for you.
If god exists and Mary exists as well, therefore Jesus, you mustn't care about statue. Right? What is the importance? statue or the existence of mary or god to be exact. If a person believe in mary and god and jesus, shoudn't all these people just not care about the statue? their is no purpose of statue. If you do not believe in mary, then why do you care, there seems to be no purpose, right? It really does not serve and purpose to danger the disbelief.
If you are unsure, then statue makes the difference and blood shedding from mary's eyes makes the problem since the people are unsure.

The RC Church has investigated many such miracles, and have chanced on some to be valid "miracles", yet that does no longer recommend they're from God. Maybe the statues are made of a mixture of ceramic and iron, and the iron is rusting and coincidentially running out at the eyes.

It's a signal, that much is obvious. It may have something to do with the inability to bring peace and love to the world, or it may have something to do with the dark forces. I'm not sure if it's good or bad yet, but it's very possible that it can be from Satan or God.

There are many things that cannot be explained...
Not everything is because it's "supernatural" or "of God."
Condensation? Mass crowd hypnosis? Both are logical explanations...
It all comes down to blind faith...
Or having the patience to wait for science to analyze, test, and come up with an answer...
