People always have something/someone they look up to and admire. If religion completely disappeared, there would emerge some sort of egregore or praised figure. Anyone who read “1984” will have an idea of what I’m talking about.

I've never thought about religions creating cultures and/or traditions. Unique perspective. As far as what would the world be like if everyone was an atheist...no one really knows. Even though there would no longer be fighting over religious beliefs or lack thereof, I have a hunch that we would still find many things to fight over. People are people. I am a Christian but I believe in giving respect to others no matter their beliefs.

I think that there would be a lot more understanding if the world was full of Atheists. Yes, it is good to have a variety of religions, it does add a certain colour to the world, but, religion causes so many problems. Wars, violence, intolerance, misunderstanding, the list could go on.
However, if we were all the one religion the same could be said.

I could do without the "color" of hate, bigotry, and sadism...
Please understand... if everyone was an atheist, there would still be as sholes, but at least ther would be an increase in reason and logic. I'd rather see that than continued religious reasons for murder, war and cruelty.

Yes. The world would be less colorful. There wouldn't be as much red blood spilled on the ground.

if you mean in the current world, where everyone discovers there is no god - after the short chaos, there would be uncomfortable peace. if you mean no religion ever, then man would still be scavengers. part of the evolution of civilization, the main part, is religion. wars, genocide, slavery, rape, torture, terrorism, racism, banishment, execution - all part of human growth, unfortunately.
