If they find no errors and you chose direct deposit your refund should be in your bank account on the 23rd. or it will be mailed out on the 23rd

I'm guessing you filed online without the help of a tax pro. You often get two emails when you file online. The first is to say that the online service has received your return and the second (usually within a day or two) is to say it has been received and accepted by the IRS. If you are talking about the second one, then you will get the refund indicated on the return, subject to delinquent student loans or child support (if you have neither of those, don't worry). The IRS accepts almost all tax returns without examination (other than verifying SSNs - stuff like that) and looks at them months later.

The IRS issues refunds each Friday. If you opted for direct deposit, your bank should post it to your account overnight so that it is available on Friday morning (the 23rd, assuming your return was accepted by 11am last Thursday). If you didn't fill in the bank details on your return they will send you a check on the same day, so expect it to take a week or so extra.
