when somebody says, "rockstar"
I dont get the meaning of it
does it mean like im cool or something?

In slang today, it's used to mean that someone is popular and has a busy social life. You'll often see people on MySpace saying, "I'm a rockstar!"

A rock star is actually a rock and roll star. Some people use the term to mean that they are famous, although, they are just a legend in their own mind.

To add to what Yo Mera said it also means that the person party's a lot and that they are always fresh (the way they dress and carry their self)

It means your rock star like in a rock band. You know those well know rock bands well they would be called rock stars so if someone says your a rock star then they mean your like those people in well known rock star bands. That is what I think it is means.
