As a lesbian, I do not feel that 'all' Christians are bigots. That is making a stereotype & fuelling the misunderstanding between homosexuals & Christians. I believe that ultimately people are people, (regardless of beliefs/labels) & we should respect & love one another.
It is true, a small percentage of Christians do get involved on the LGBT page, often insulting, rude & hateful with their comments about our lifestyle, but that does not mean that all Christians do this, or hold this belief.
Likewise for homosexual people on the religion page!
I think most people are not so ignorant that they would judge things they have no experiance of. At the end of the day, if God didn't make homosexuals, there wouldn't be any. We are here, & we are proud, & i think most decent human beings respect that.
Diversity is special!

I am a Christian, I have never visited the gay page/s, I have absolutely no interest in slagging anyone off, please do not judge all Christians alike as I do not for example judge all gay people to be the same.
Having said that if someone comes on here and asks a question, such as what are you views on this or that, I can and will certainly express them, but even then it should be done with a respect for each individual whether you agree with them or not.
It's a simple matter of common courtesy which does not seem quite so common as it should be...

Hi thanks for the question / point made,
My understanding of a Christian is someone who follows the teachings of Christ...and if you could sum up Christ's teachings in one word it would be love. Having love for your fellow man would be a part of that...you would think so...right? No matter who that person was, the colour of their skin, or their sexual orientation. So I'm disappointed and sorry that someone who calls them self a Christian chose to air those views that offended you.
I would ask that you try not to let the immature minority represent the whole of Christianity.
These people need to overcome some difficulties with their own beliefs and the challenges they face as Christians in todays society. If they believe so strongly that you are in the wrong the only way to help would be to support and educate, not insult.
These type of comments stick out as they are controversial but I'm pretty sure that these do not represent the Christian view.

I do not know what the "gay page" is. As for Christians bashing you, if they are, then they are not real Christians but simply "make believe ones" that use it to serve their own purposes. We are not permitted by our belief system to bash anyone. We do disagree with the gay lifestyle simply because our faith disagrees with it but it is not meant to be a "hate" thing. We are also forbidden to hate anyone. Gays are the children of God as well. Christians are not the only ones God loves. He loves all his children. You can of course ask any question you like on this page but I will warn you to expect some "Christians?" to give you a hard time. I however will not. I too disagree with your lifestyle but it is your right to choose what you do or do not do.

I am sincerely sorry that Christians have gone on the gay page and said hateful things to you or others. I am a Christian, and things like this really irritate me. As Christians we should be known for our love, not hate. Unfortunately this is not the case.
I just want to say that not all Christians are like that, and again I want to personally apoligize for their actions, since I doubt they will own them.

I am Christian. I do not go to that category, what you referenced as the "gay" page. I would appreciate it if you did not lump all Christians into one big bigot sack please.
Gandalf - EXACTLY!! questions like this only fuel the hatred.

Not all christians are nasty. I'd guess most of the people coming to the gay page aren't even christian. Just pretending to be to get people mad at them.
