There is no such thing as a trinity explained in the Bible this teaching is not Biblical Jesus himself says he is God's son not God(John10:36)God also Confirmed this when Jesus was baptised and came out of the water the heavens opened up Gods spirit descended like a dove and a voice from heaven was heard saying:"This is my son the beloved whom I have approved(Matthew3:16,17)
there is also another scripture that says, that no man has ever seen God at any time,(John1:18) Yet there were thousands that have seen Jesus, so, this shows that Jesus is not God and there is no scripture anywhere that says that Jesus is God plainly for all to see and understand just as in the case of the trinity!

Although, there are some who point to (1John5:7 as proof of the trinity but this only speaks of the holy spirit God and the Son in passing, it does not say that they are all a coequal part of a trinity, just as mentioning Tom Dick and Harry does not prove that they are all a coequal part of a trinity. There is nothing in the Bible anywhere that explains how Jesus would be God or, that God is a trinity.

I have studied the Bible for years. Not once have I read anything about a trinity. If you look into it (instead of taking my word for it)..., you'll find that the whole trinity concept was formulated by Tertullian around 200 Ad.., thats *almost* 200 years AFTER the birth of the New Testament Church.

About a century AFTER Tertullian tried selling this idea to the Roman Catholic Church.., it became official doctrine of the RCC.

Before Tertullian, the New Testament Church NEVER used such a concept and the scriptures to this day are re-interpreted to fit with the false man made doctrine of trinity.

And for the record - Jesus NEVER said "I am God" nor did he say, "I am the Father". Again the Trinitarian and some branches of oneness bend the meaning of Jesus when he said, "I and the Father are one".

Jesus was saying, "I am in union with the Father. The Father is in union with me". He and the Father were knit in union by the Holy Spirit. God is Spirit, and he is Holy. God IS the Holy Spirit.., not a separate entity. The Holy Spirit is his essence, his power.., and it is only through his spirit that we can become one in Christ and if we are one in Christ we are one in God (those who are saved)...., BUT THAT DOES NOT MAKE US GOD TOO! But by the twisting of Jesus words about he and the Father are one - then that makes Jesus as he prayed for the disciples and future generations, as making God out of people... and that was NOT his intention.

We humans want and desire so strong to twist scripture to what we want it to say. Its really sad. We humans it seems would ignore the truth to support our own human designed DENOMINATIONAL (sectarian) doctrine. Its as though our sectarian beliefs and traditions are embraced so much, we don't want to let go of them.

I would rather have the truth, even if that truth flew in the face of everything my sectarian faith drilled into me. And I have overcome it. I am no longer sectarian as such and I refuse to embrace a human made title over Jesus. I am not a Baptist, Lutheran or any other sect. I get the truth from the Bible, from the Holy Spirit and THAT is more important than denomination (sectarianism).

To Anna: I'm working on it.
To everyone quoting 1 John 5:7: It doesn't say all that stuff about "three who bear witness in heaven..." That has been proven to be a spurious (portion of) verse and doesn't belong in the bible.
To everyone else- Jesus himself admits he is not God in Matthew 24:36, John 14:28, and was reiterated by Paul in 1 Corinthians 11:3. There is no way around it! If Jesus himself admits he is not God, then every other scripture you twist to try to prove the trinity doctrine needs to be re- interpreted or re- studied. Jesus said he is a lesser being than God and therefore NOT God! Don't try to complicate what Jesus plainly stated! Just accept it!

To explain it, as best as I can, I will serve your question with an illustration. Take a lit candle. It consists of a flame, light and heat. The flame is God, the light is Christ and the heat is the Holy Spirit - all 3 in one ! God is the Father and give the ideas; Jesus is the "Logos" or the "Spokesman" and speaks the word ; the Holy Spirit is the active force performing the word. These 3 all co-exist as one !!! (See John, Chapter 1, verses 1 - 3 ... - Also; see: Genesis, Chapter 1, verses 1 - 3 )
Note: "GOD created" ...

Ok. Well first and foremost there is no such a thing as a trinity of 3 persons and one God. That would mean three Gods or language has lost it's meaning and I am not oneness either. The truth is in the middle and lies within the two concepts of thought. Jesus was God 100% (1 Tim. 316) the fullness of the divine nature dwelt in a man and we know Him as Jesus. But Jesus was also 100% man that he may taste of death and suffer temptation in the flesh (Heb. 4:15) BUT, yet without sin for the temptation is not sin, to yield to it is. So, Jesus was not His own father. The flesh of Jesus Christ was not God it was the body where God dwelled thetabernacle, the sacrifice for God is a Spirit and cannot die. If we make the body of Jesus God, we make God dying on a tree and becoming a curse (Deut. 21:23). A question to help clear things up...Who was Jesus' father?.....OK. you trinitarians. Refer to Matt. 1:18. Conceived of the Holy Ghost. But I thought the Father was His Father. You see. God is not three persons but reveals Himself in three different manifestations or if you please, dispensations. The Fatherhood in the Old Testament as God above us. The Sonship in the New Testament God with us. and The Holy Ghost now working through people, God with us. Always drawing us closer to Himself. Now God is still a Father and still a Son, you see these are attributes of the self same God wanting to reveal Himself in these ways. And now it is personal. Isaiah 9:6 sums it up, there is much scripture which dovetails into this but this is all you need as it says "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful,Counsellor, The everlasing Father, The Prince of Peace." Well let us look on one more, perhaps more; John 14:17-19. Jesus said Even the Spirit of Truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwellth with you, and shall be in you. I (personal pronoun) will not leave you comfortless. I (personal pronoun) will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live , ye shall live also." There is much on which to expose the pagan doctrine of the trinity but the church world is in much confusion that they cannot see and you're probably offended at that but truth is truth nonetheless. Why because of doctrines of man brought about by such nonsense as hermeunutics and personal revelations.

Dear LineDancer,

I believe that Jesus is God in the flesh.

For some very telling Scripture I call your attention to http://www.soulright.com

You will see a wonderful chart called One Truth Exposes a Thousand Lies - Traits Shared Between Jehovah and Jesus

As one person said, "I'd say that's a suspiciously high number of qualities that Jehovan and Jesus share. And since Jehovah God will not share His glory with anyone (Isaiah 42:8) it seems odd that the two have the same characteristics through and through."

The Trinity is a very complex concept...the easiest way that I've been taught is that it is comparable to an egg. The shell, yolk ,and white...three separate parts but still an egg.

Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit....three separate parts but still the Trinity

John 1:1-14 and Luke 24:49 Life Application, New King James, King James(not the JW version please)

trinity is not written in any bible script. But it is strongly implied through out the Bible. Hermeneutics's, allows for the term and meaning to exist. What is impossible with man is not impossible with God. The entire issue is a matter of semantics. If you believe that the triune God head is not right for your theology don't profess it. The trinity is believed by many Devout Christians.

PROOF of TRINITY
NLT

The following three passages each reflect on a specific prophecy given to Isaiah. Each passage also depicts the messenger of the SAME prophecy as a DIFFERENT one of the members of the Trinity. I have ***starred*** the parts that change. The first passage says God spoke, the second passage said that Isaiah saw Jesus, and the third passage says the Holy Spirit gave the message.

This proves that God=Jesus=HolySpirit.

Isaiah 6: 8-10

8 Then I ***heard the Lord***asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?”
I said, “Here I am. Send me.”
9 And he said, “Yes, go, and say to this people,
‘Listen carefully, but do not understand.
Watch closely, but learn nothing.’
10 Harden the hearts of these people.
Plug their ears and shut their eyes.
That way, they will not see with their eyes,
nor hear with their ears,
nor understand with their hearts
and turn to me for healing.”

John 12:35-41
35 Jesus replied, “My light will shine for you just a little longer. Walk in the light while you can, so the darkness will not overtake you. Those who walk in the darkness cannot see where they are going. 36 Put your trust in the light while there is still time; then you will become children of the light.”
After saying these things, Jesus went away and was hidden from them. 37 But despite all the miraculous signs Jesus had done, most of the people still did not believe in him. 38 This is exactly what Isaiah the prophet had predicted:
“LORD, who has believed our message?
To whom has the LORD revealed his powerful arm?”[a] Isa 53:1.
39 But the people couldn’t believe, for as Isaiah also said,
40 “The Lord has blinded their eyes
and hardened their hearts—
so that their eyes cannot see,
and their hearts cannot understand,
and they cannot turn to me
and have me heal them.”[b] Isa 6:10.
41 Isaiah was referring to ***Jesus*** when he said this, because he saw the future and spoke of the Messiah’s glory.

Acts 28:23-27
23 So a time was set, and on that day a large number of people came to Paul’s lodging. He explained and testified about the Kingdom of God and tried to persuade them about Jesus from the Scriptures. Using the law of Moses and the books of the prophets, he spoke to them from morning until evening. 24 Some were persuaded by the things he said, but others did not believe. 25 And after they had argued back and forth among themselves, they left with this final word from Paul: “The ***Holy Spirit*** was right when he said to your ancestors through Isaiah the prophet,
26 ‘Go and say to this people:
When you hear what I say,
you will not understand.
When you see what I do,
you will not comprehend.
27 For the hearts of these people are hardened,
and their ears cannot hear,
and they have closed their eyes—
so their eyes cannot see,
and their ears cannot hear,
and their hearts cannot understand,
and they cannot turn to me
and let me heal them.’[h] Isa. 6: 9-10

Perfect comparison to the Egg and Candle!
These three complete each other.

JWs... please tell me what's wrong with my scripture analysis??? Based on my research, I don't believe the Watchtower gave you a preprogrammed answer for this one.

Jesus=God is the truth. Praying for you to see it.

It is Paganism that believes in greater and lesser deities, as the Jehovah's Witnesses do.

To Anomaly... LOL :o) Can you at least give me a little credit for originality? I am totally curious to see how this is wrong though! Seems like more proof than the Michael debacle! ;)
