I have a surface piercing on my nape and I've seen pics of dermal implants and 'microdermals', which would be perfect for the point of my nape project. I've asked around at the shops here in Maryland to only recieve blank faces with question marks. I'm aware that they're done in Colorado, but I want to know if they're done anywhere a little more East coastal. I haven't had much luck on my own finding out, hoped someone could help me out...

Microdermals are done just about everywhere now. They're still fairly new, so finding an artist is a little trickier. They don't require a scalpel or a dermal punch, just a needle, so they're legal pretty much everywhere. Try asking on BME or bodymod.org for an artist.
