I'm just curious.

For the record:

1) I am a male.
2) I am 5'5"
3) My girlfriend is 6'0".
4) Other people tell us it's awkward to watch us do stuff together (walk down the street, dance, etc.), but I don't really listen to them too much.

I am female, about five feet seven; I grew that tall at a young age and for a long time worried about being taller than boys or men I liked. (Currently, I am not with anyone.) Here is my advice to you: If you and your girl friend are happy together, do not listen to anyone's rude remarks about the difference in your heights. Recently, on "Wheel of Fortune" one of the contestants was a male who was a dwarf (very much shorter than you are, obviously); his girf friend, who was of normal height, was with him to spin the wheel because he was not able to do it. She seemed genuinely to care for him and not in the least embarrassed to be with him -- he was quite cute, by the way, and so was she! And, several of the men whom I was most attracted to in the past were not tall; personality is far more important than height, and I imagine that you have many admirable qualities. Just be happy with your girl friend!

1. Female
2. 5'7"
3. One of my exes was about a half inch taller than I was, and my more recent one was about five inches taller.
4. I don't think it had a lot of effect, although I think traditionally the man is "supposed" to be taller than the woman. I don't neccesarily agree, but I do notice sometimes that people will think it's odd if the girl is taller. I guess I sort of like to have a guy who's taller or equal. I think it would sort of be wierd to kiss downwards on a guy all the time. And I think biologically, females tend to look for a male that will offer protection, and therefore we're sort of biologically attracted to a male who is larger than we are.
