When is black, black enough or how do you know if you've become too white? I need to know, since it no longer has to do with skin color, before I go on the Oprah show.

Steven Colbert People do you ever see comedy routines! Or are all of you too busy getting up on your idiotic soap boxes to know whats going on. Personally I won't vote for him because I don't want a country that is 98% Christian to be led by a Muslim. (I'm sure most of you do know that Muslims have vowed to kill ALL Christians) By the by, who do you think is more racist by some of the responses recieved to this comedic question?

If you're not voting for someone because of their race, it makes one suggest with integrity that you're a racist.

Obama is of both African and European descent, which has nothing to do with his capacity to lead the United States.

In the US, the law is that if a person is at least 1/32 black (one of his great grandparents), then he is automatically black; it has something to do with "hypodescent." But I don't think there is a US law against voting for a competent black president.

----

What happened to "separation of church and state?"

Regardless, there are just as many Muslims seeking to kill Christians as there are Christians seeking to kill homosexuals, for example. The vast minority of Muslims actually "vow to KILL all Christians."

Islam is a peaceful religion; the religious fanatics are the ones who give it a bad image. Christianity is a peaceful religion; the religious fanatics are the ones who give it a bad image.

I have no problem with having a competent Muslim black president, so long as he is competent.

"The Muslims, the Sabeans, the Christians, the Jews, anyone who believes in God . . . and does good deeds shall find their reward with God and will not come to fear or grief" (Qurʾan 2:62).

Obama is not white his dad is from Africa and his mom is white so he is mixed, but does it matter? You judge a man on his character and the way he handles things. Well you know what I am saying . I am white and I would like to belong to a group that lets the world know that the white race is still alive..but being breeded out. We are not going to be on this planet for a long time . So does it matter..I personally don't believe in mixing races but the world is so much bigger than we are..I personally do like Oboma and what he stands for..And as far Mrs. Clinton I would not vote for a female, and I am a female. What happens when she is having a bad day or menopause or pms is working .I know i would not want to be trusted with running the country i have a problem with running the house.

considering some of the answers and you are fairly young people, I am 49 I see racism is alive and well with the youngins too. People who haven't seen s h i t and don't know s h i t but have the nerve to think they actually have a say. Ever see that WAMU commercial about the old guys who don't know what is going on in the real world those are the people who decide the course of this country, not you. You are not movers and shakers, you are little twerpy racist who are just little parrots that only repeat what you hear and think that it pleases everyone who listens. I don't have any opinion about Mr. Obama. I don't know him and his platform sounds like every other politician to me. But to say you won't vote for him because he is black and then to associate him with Osama Bin Laden is why other countries look at America with distain. They are not perfect by any degree but when one wants to be called the greatest country in the world first the citizens must begin to act with integrity and be worthy of the praise. From what I see you don't even try.

this question has been asked returned and returned. Please get a sparkling one to ask.. there have been very few black men attempt the nomination technique. i do no longer care in the event that they have been rainbow colored, they weren't stable applicants. Obama replaced into the 1st black American that quite ran for the place of work to truly have something to furnish. i might have voted for Colin Powell, Condeleeza Rice..i do no longer comprehend why they in no way ran..very own selection i think of. it is no longer because of the fact they won't have. yet you are able to no longer learn the style of white working to the style of blacks whilst america has a 12% African American inhabitants. At one time in this united states of america women ought to no longer vote the two..did you comprehend that they have got been seen as supplies... so do no longer circulate there..and not each and every white president has long gone to conflict.. Why do no longer you relish the shown fact that america has elected their first black president and be chuffed.. You all whinge over something.

There was an intersting conversation the other day at work....
some folks are going to vote for him because he's black
Some folks wont for vote for him because he's black skinned
and some people arent going to vote for him because he "isnt black enough"
Just goes to show that more than skin tone goes into what we think of as a demographic

Obama is the very essence of African American. If you won't vote for him because hes black you're prejudice. It doesn't matter what ethnicity you are. You need no prep for Oprah's show. Blackness is relative.

I recieved the following email recently -
Probable U. S. presidential candidate, Barack Hussein Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., a black Muslim from Nyangoma-Kogel, Kenya and Ann Dunham, a white atheist from Wichita, Kansas.  Obama's parents met at the University of Hawaii .

When Obama was two years old, his parents divorced.  His father returned to Kenya .  His mother then married Lolo Soetoro, a radical Muslim from Indonesia .  When Obama was 6 years old, the family relocated to Indonesia .  Obama attended a Muslim school in Jakarta   He also spent two years in a Catholic school.

Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim.  He is quick to point out that, “He was once a Muslim, but that he also attended Catholic school.”

Obama's political handlers are attempting to make it appear that Obama's introduction to Islam came via his father, and that this influence was temporary at best.  In reality, the senior Obama returned to Kenya soon after the divorce, and never again had any direct influence over his son's education.  Lolo Soetoro, the second husband of Obama’s mother, Ann Dunham, introduced his stepson to Islam.  Osama was enrolled in a Wahabi school in Jakarta .  Wahabism is the radical teaching that is followed by the Muslim terrorists who are now waging Jihad against the western world.

Since it is politically expedient to be a Christian when seeking major public office in the United States , Barack Hussein Obama has joined the United Church of Christ in an attempt to downplay his Muslim background.

Let us all remain alert concerning Obama’s expected presidential candidacy.

The fact that you have to ask that question in the matter that you have worded it suggests that you are racist.

Your supposed to be picking the best person to run this country and your focusing on "how black" a back man is!?

WOW no wonder this country is so screwed
