I love the Marine Corps... and I think Marines are great! However, a man is a man is a man... The fact that you made it through Marine Corps Boot and beyond says something about how stubborn you can be and how hard you're willing to push yourself... But it doesn't show the other side of you... the tender, caring, protective side. So, while there is nothing like a Marine... there's REALLY nothing like a Marine who isn't bought into the whole Marine Corps machismo thing... A gentle giant in dress blues is nearly irresistable... even with scars.

SALUTE!
If you are a FORMER Marine, there are still some good qualities that you learned from the Corps. I've been told that those things never go away. I believe it. Good friend of mine, USMC, Capt, retired, is one of the finest men I've known and a trusted friend (yes, I'd depend on him for my life).
If I had to chose as a friend a life time civilian and a FORMER ACTIVE DUTY MARINE, the Marine would win out every time!
God bless you MARINE!
SALUTE!

Nope because if you are an EX-MARINE you got kicked out for some reason. If you didn't get kicked out then you are a former Marine.

And here I thought there were no Ex-Marines, only Former Active Duty Marines.
Seriously, it depends on you as an individual.
