it is very hard to get black hair to be white blonde..there are underlying pigments that come out as the bleach works (red, orange, gold, and yellow) you will always be fighting these pigments even if you go to a salon. it can be very damaging to the hair and take a lot of time but you may be able to eventually get it to a very light blonde then tone it to a whiter blonde. but i would suggest getting this done at a salon as the box dyes in stores are not made for this particular problem.

Please don't try this at home. Having gone from dark brown hair once to platinum blonde, I know that the only good way to do this is professionally. I mean you can do this at home, but your hair will become so damaged that it will break off and look a mess. I would also recommend that you do it gradually and wait at least a month before you go to blonde. I mean, black to blonde is drastic. It would take several processes at the hair dresser's too. And remember when the roots grow back, you have to keep bleaching it out like every 2-3 weeks depending on how quickly your hair grows. Hope it helps, and sorry to disappoint. I am speaking from experience!

Don't do it! Black hair dye is the hardest to remove, bleaching and dye removla is the only way, you can't get hair dye removal at the store and bleaching recently black colored hair could be fatal to your hair. Most hair colorists will tell you that bleaching hair dyed black is impossible, so you can ask for hair dye removal. Some colorists don't do it so call around first. It costs about $40.00 a box and takes several hours, especially for black but since it's fairly recent that's a good thing for removing it. It's a type of chemical that shrinks artificial pigments so they can be rinsed out. Your hair will be around pale yellow afterward. After they remove it they can put in the color you want.

I had a similar incident at the saloon about a month ago my client had jet black hair and she wanted a light brown color. The only way you are going to get rid of the black is to strip the color off because black doesn't lift easly with lightner. Please Please dont try this at home you could completely damage your hair. You need to go to a stlyist. I would never recommend going from such a dark color to white blonde. First of all your hair needs to have a break from the chemicals after you have it stripped so pick a light brown something that won't need any lightner for a while go blonder in a few months. Going that light can cause your hair to fall

I'd like to say "you have to be kidding", but you probably aren't based on some of the other questions I've answered here. Important: There's no healthy way that even a stylist/colorist can do that now. You will just have to wait until your hair grows out. Trying to do that now would result in a lot of damage and breakage, or hair loss. Don't even try. Please !

You can do it, but it is a long process. And you will have to have short hair. The bleaching out totally destroys your hair. Especially after having it so dark.

ummmmmm, you can but it would have to be done in steps.
like you would need to go dark brown, then light brown, then blonde, and then eventually to the shade of blonde you want.
The best tip I can give you is pick a color you LOVE and stick with it for a long time!!!!
