I asked this earlier, but I'm still collecting info. I suffer from OCD/anxiety disorder & I want to know if I should consider medication. Does anyone have experience with this? What drugs work best? And what are the side effects (e.g. sexual)? Thanks for your help.

Paxil works quite well, and the controlled-release version (Paxil CR) has lower side effects (sexual and others) than the standard-release form.
Of course, not everyone with OCD needs meds: sometimes counselling and behavior modifications are adequate. Still, I'd suggest you see your doctor for evaluation, discussion, and guidance.

Medication in combination with behavioral therapy works best for ocd.
Medication alone is not the answer nor is therapy alone.
Make sure the therapy is BEHAVIORAL and not just "talk" therapy or psychoanalysis.
There are a number of medications that can be helpful including lexapro, celexa, paxil and others. Sometimes one does not work well and you have to try a couple in order to find the right one.
Good luck. Please see a psychiatrist and therapist and get the help you need.

The SSRI type antidepressant work best for me, it can be a long time to get the right medication at the right dose but when you do things feel much better. The side effects a wide and varied depending on how your body copes with the drug, but side effects I have had are loss of appetite, serotonin shake, depression (first month or two), tiredness and it also gave me what can only be called retarded ejaculation.
