Has anyone been stationed at George AFB from 1978 to 1983 and maintaned the F-4 aircraft.

GAFB from 1986-1990.
21 th AMU Black section.

Q-Troop for ever. That would be WCS.

Would give a weeks pay maybe more to launch an old F-4 on a cool morning, Dam i miss the smell of JP-4 in the morning

I was not in the military but I worked in Victorville with a company that did a lot of business with people at George in the later 80's. They operated the F-4G Wild Weasel which specialized in anti-radiation (anti-radar) attacks.

They also operated OV-10 Broncos. A forward observation aircraft.

Never been to George, but maintained Nav equipment on F4Ds in Thailand and at Hill AFB.
