When someone talks about a something they clearly know nothing about yet act like they do? While others around just listen because they don't know either.

What happens to those who listen without knowing any better?

It can be annoying. Watching the others who don't know either can be funny though. I usually say, "I don't know about this, I can't help."

I feel horrified when I read about a slick fake who preaches to ignorant and gullible people about the doomsday and siphons off their worldly possessions with a promise to save them.

It's like junk food for thought. It has no nutritional value.
-----as for those who listen without knowing better...they will continue to feel hungry for meaning
and thirsty for understanding. They will experience spiritual malnutrition.
