Enema refers to a liquid that is forced (by low pressure) into the rectum, through anus, in order to induce bowel movement, or to wash/cleanse colon, or to re-populate colon with good bacteria, or to treat colon disease and colon related illness.

An enema is the process of using a liquid to wash out the lower intestine. Drug stores sell the old fashioned enema bags that are a red rubber type material . You can also buy Fleet's enemas which are sold in the drug store. They contain salt water and have a nozel which is inserted in the rectum. The person is supposed to retain the water as long as they can before going to the toilet. This is often done before medical procedures.

An 'enema' generally speaking is the insertion of a liquid into your intestines through the rectum. So in severe constipation due to hardening of stools, often a soap water enema is used, which is literally the insertion of a small tube into the rectum and then pushing some soap water through it with the aim of loosening up the stool. There are many other types of enema, for example a Barium enema involves the insertion of Barium Sulfate into the intestine to take XRays of he intestine.

Don't bother with that stuff. Just eat an apple and some cucumber, drink a bunch of water, and wait for it to come out 24 hours later.
You put water or other liquid into your colon, using a long tube with a bag on the other end. There are many modern ways to clear out your bowels these days....enemas are not necessary.

An enema is just a like a douche only for the anus. You use it to flush out your bowels if you know what I mean. It's not expensive and you can find it almost anywhere. You can administer it alone or ask a helpful, gutsy friend or loved one to help!

Gosh, I remember those from a bad childhood memory lol, they are like a little plastic pump with long thin plastic tube, kind of like a sturdier douche, you put warm soapy water in and insert this into your rectum. You use the squeezy pump end to suck up the water, like a dropper. At least that is how it was done by my grandmother in 1988. Bad memory. Ask your pharmacist to get you one.

Its when you stick a tube up your anus which is connected to a water pouch.. and like do this bend over or lay down thing and water fills up your intestines i think, the you hold the water in you for like 5 minutes and then release it....it takes some of the waste with it, unblocking you.

It's like a colonic. A tube is inserted into the anus and liquid is flushed through the large intestine to clean it out.
