Definitely. The hard part is just finding a skincare system that's right for you, and your skin. Personally, I use Proactive Solutions. It works really well, but you really have to stick to the regimen. There are creams and cleansers specially formulated for blackheads, and certain creams meant for spot treatment. It took me a while to find & use Proactive, but once you find something you're set. Don't give up on a product if it doesn't show results right away- Proactive took about three weeks to actually start eliminating blemishes. If you're really concerned or you can't seem to find a product that's really helping, you can always consult with a certified dermatologist, and also, lasers and heat treatments can be use to hide acne and unwanted blemishes. I hope all goes well!

For blackheads if they're really bad, i'd go to a beautician (to have a facial) tell them what the problem is. usually they're a bit expensive but if you find a local college near you who also have a beauty school, they'll do it cheaper as they need volunteers to practice on!
if they're not too bad, steam ur face by either investing in a face sauna or simply filling the sink with hot water, putting a towel over ur head & letting ur face be steamed & ur pores opened. then using a blackhead remover ( a metal piece which u press on blackheads to squeeze them out;Boots,Superdrug or Bodysgop should sell them) remove them. Or after opening ur pores, DRY ur skin & use Biore strips or another brand u prefer.
I also found this recipe on the net; "take one tablespoon black pepper powder and add to it enough curd to make a thick paste. apply on the infected area and let it dry. wash off after 5-7 mins. this is a really effective cure for blackheads and whiteheads! "

for the blemishes i'd use one of those listed here: http://www.whatreallyworks.co.uk/start/NewProductsZone.asp?article_ID=1778

hpe this helps!
