Your puppy is not going to starve its self 4 ever...If i were you I
would...
I don't recommend mixing the new food with wet food for two reasons:
1. It would be the same as allowing a child to mix his meat and potatoes with pudding in order to get him to eat his meat and potatoes.
2. Wet food has more preservative and additives (including sugar) and is not considered the best choice of food for a dog. It also promotes tartar build-up on teeth.
I suggest you try these two alternate solutions:
1. Serve the old brand again and gradually add the new brand, increasing the amount of the new brand with each meal until the meal consists solely of the new brand.
2. Try adding Vita-Gravy to the new brand. At least the gravy has some nutrients, although it's probably not necessary if the dog is eating quality dry food.
If nothing works, I agree with Colby: take the dog to the vet if the dog starts to lose weight because there might be a legitimate problem.

Could be a tooth or teeth bothering her. Have you checked her mouth to see if any foreign object is stuck in between her teeth? Things can get stuck at the roof of the mouth also. Normally, they paw at their mouth, though. Poodles are prone to gastritis. What did she eat before she showed symptoms of being sick? There is also a food recall right now on dog foods made by Menu. If you happen to have fed her one of these foods give her something to make her vomit if she still has any of it in her stomach. That would definitely be a case for the vet and quick. Is she drinking more than usual? That would indicate bladder or kidneys. Have you taken her temp? At nine, it could be problems with most any organ. I'd bring her in to see the vet.

Well, is she spade? Mabey she is hitting doggy medapause. If that isn't real, than mabey she is scared of something. Is there a diffrent animal in your community? When yougo on walks, does she run away from a paticular house? Do some research and mabey another animal that is a meanie (LOL). Or do you have a pill cabnit that your poodle can get to? Mabey she got into something and that is why she is shaky and sleepy. Also if you take alot of pills, than she doesn't want to eat anything because she already ate nasty pills. Thanks that I could help and I hope you find out what is going on with your dog! GOO LUCK!!!!!

Not eating is a bad sign for a dog. My dog stopped eating and would't eat even though I knew she had to be hungry. I usually means something serious is wrong. My dog died about 10 days later. We found out later than she had a tumor on her liver that had ruptured. I think going to the vet soon would be the best thing to do. You don't want her to just get worse and worse with no relief.

take her to the vet and get a blood workup - now!!! It could be a number of things, and unfortunately some very very bad. The quicker you act the more likely it can be treated.

When a dog does not feel good, they will not eat, thats normal, but if it goes on say for more than 6 days, I would call my vet.

My moms dog did this. It turned out that she had a doggy stroke. Also there is a syndrome in older dogs called "old dog syndrome". Please take her to the vet and get this checked out. If she is sick she may be in pain and maybe suffering! Would you want to suffer? Please do the right thing and get her checked

Take her to the vet ASAP. Could be something serious considering her age and the shaking.
