From your answer to a previous question, I can see that you are the one who does not understand. The languages that you have listed are not Latin languages. They are not called Latin languages because Latin is a language in and of itself. To prevent confusion, its modern day derivatives are called Romance languages.

When she asked if she should take Latin or Spanish, she was referring to Latin, the dead language of the Romans, and Spanish, one of its modern derivatives. Two completely separate (but related) languages.

There is a difference between "hispanic" and "latino" ppl in america view these are the same and they are not. Latino is an ethinicty or culture that ppl from italy, spain, france, and romania have just as much right 2 claim it as the oppressed ppl from "latin america" do. It's about coming from a country that speaks a romance language ( only truely educated ppl know this ) also hispanic traits? U do realize that spanish is a european ( white ) language! Without the portuguese, spainards and french the ppl from "latin america" couldnt refer themselves as latin anyways btw it was the french who named it that before them it was ibro-america or sud-americaAnd, ppl can claim the ethicity "latino" white, brown, black or asian. America misuses this term it's sad but true. Btw greeks can't claim latin cz they are not from a country that speaks a romance language even though i feel like greek is a beautiful language. Spanish and portuguese are not even the closest languages 2 latin spanish is the 4th( arabic influence ) and portuguese is the 5th. Romanian and Italian are the closest. Oh, and latin was originally spoken by the italics ( original latins )from lathium italy now known as the lazio region of italy. than the Romans adopted the latin and latinized where spain, portugal, france and romania is now. If any of u take what i have said offensive thats ur problem but, everything i have stated is based on fact and history. @Asker interesting question and i was pleased 2 answer it with an educated response :)

Two questions:

What about the Indigenous people or the Jewish people, or the Muslims who live in Latin countries and speak Latin languages?.. are they 100% assimilated to the Latino/Hispanic Culture or no yet?

If in the USA live millions of Spanish speaking persons and Latinos, so the USA is also a Latino countryt? ((Especially in States like Texas, California, Florida, Nevada, Arizona, Illinois or N.Y.))

Are you trying to say that Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian and Romanian derived from the latin language?
because if that's your question, you are correct

Professor.Shiroguma: what about Brazilians? Brazil wasn't colonized by Spain, and it's official language is Portuguese, so Brazilians aren't Hispanics. You say Latinos are from former Spanish Colonies, so what exactly are Brazilians? Funny how we make up 51% of South America's population and people are ignorant enough to call us "hispanics"...

Actually, Hispanic means a person of Spanish origins (this can be stretched to person of Spanish-colonized countries). Latino means a person from Latin America (the Spanish-colonized countries). Iberic is a person from Spanish / Portuguese origins (this can also be stretched to person of Spanish / Portuguese-colonized countries).
