How can I copy and paste from jpg/bmp file into text files?

Txt files are text files and called that because they contain only text so copying and pasting jpg/bmp is only do-able if you bring the text files/jpg/bmp files into a program that can handle them.

The good news is that most programs support these types of files.
I'll give instructions for MS-Word 2003 and earlier (but any software that can handle text and graphics will do the trick)...

Therefore open MS-Word (or your favourite program) and then do File, Open. You may have to change the file type to all files or .txt and select the desired text file. Click on Insert. Select Picture, select from file and open the jpg or bmp file.

Now's the most important step - click File, Save As and change the File Save As Type to your normal document type (in this case it would say Word document *.doc). You are done.

You can't copy a 'image' into a text file, because it's a TEXT file and can only contain text.
You can use a process called UUENCODING however to convert the image to text but you will not 'see' an image in the text file. UUENCODEING is used to transport binary files (like jpg's) over Networks/Operating Syetems that only support text.

Hi, Rita, as u said, the look won't look right when you copy and paste text from pdf to word, but why not try another way? Directly converting pdf to word, many pdf to word converters can do this, simpo pdf to word is a good choice, you can give it a try, it can preserve all contents exactly from pdf to word. Have a try, hope it helps.
