I have never heard of it or seen it. Maybe I have, I just never paid any mind to it. Chicken/beef bouillon? What are they and what aisle would they be in at the supermarket?

Look in the soups isle, and if they're not there, look in the condiments isle.
They are cubes which are made of dehydrated concentrated chicken or beef stock.
It is true that they are very high in Salt content, so if your recipe calls for them, just be aware that you may want to NOT add additional salt to the meal.

Bouillon is a dry mixture of salt, sugar, & spices, that is normally flavored with beef or chicken, but vegetable bouillons are a valuable as well.

It comes in cubes or powder and you can be dissolved it water to make a broth. You can use broth instead of bouillon and the water in a recipe if you don't have any bouillon on hand or if you want to cut the sodium. For example if the recipe calls for cup of water and 1 bouillon cube, you would us 1 cup of broth instead.

Bouillon is usually very salty, so consider the reduced sodium varieties. You can find bouillon in any grocery stores spice or soup aisle and you can expect to pay anywhere from .99 to 5.00 depending on the size and variety. You can also find several different varieties and read the labels on safeway.com so you know what you are looking for.

Good Luck!

Hi! I have seen and have OXO chicken and beef bouillon packets but never
heard of or even seen a combination of the two. Is that what you are saying is
that it is a combination? I also have Knorr vegetable dry broth in a tin. This doesn't look like I am much help. Good luck, anyway. I found it where the dry
soups are like Knorr. You can buy the packets of granules like I said. The cubes
are terrible. With the packets you just open it up and stir it in. The only ones that
I buy are low salt.

Bouillon is a french term that used when referring to stock. It can be made from original ingredients such as chicken, beef, fish, or vegetables, depending on the type of stock needed. However, the easiest way to make it is by using stock cubes, available from most supermarkets, or by buying the stock readymade. You should be able to find these in the same aisle.

I believe it is the chicken or beef cubes, used to make a broth for soups and stuff. You can find them in the soup aisle. One popular brand is called "Knor." I believe it is in small green box and it comes with like 12 cubes. I use the beef flavored ones to add a little flavor to cabbage or crock pot dishes.

It's in the soup aisle, but don't buy the cubes or the highly concentrated stuff in the glass bottles! TOO MUCH SODIUM!!! Use cans of low fat/low sodium beef or chicken broth...

It would be in the soup aisle in small jars or cubes near the broth/stock.

It is mostly salt, with some chicken flavoring.

They are cubes of flavoring. You can probably find them on the soup aisle, or where the baking products are.

It is there in the soup aisle. You can get it canned, boxed or dehydrated in cubes.

Okay, so I have to ask; you are a top contributor in the food category and you do not know about bullion? what is that about?
