I met a guy a few months ago and we became friends. More and more talks on the phone hangin out etc... led to us really liking each other. Well he leaves for Florida for good tomorrow. I noticed all week hes been casually talking to me less and less. Today i asked him why and he says well i'm leaving tomorrow so i thought it would be better for us to stop talking before... Is that right. What would you do?

It's not right but that's how some people deal with going away. They feel that pain will be less if they sever all ties. He may not want a long distance relationship. Just let him know that you want to remain friends, no strings attached.

Why can't you talk to him while he is living in Florida? If he really doesn't want contact with you, he know that if you are far apart you relationship won't work

it's the way it is...it's easier on him (he thinks) and you if he distances himself away now. So, he thinks the heart won't hurt as much...WRONG...but guys are like that, right?!
