Are you poor and starving? Sick in body or spirit? Alone, loveless, without comfort? Are you a liberal or a gay? These things may be because God hates you and has cast you over into eternal damnation before you were even born. Because you are one of the Unsaved, God triumphs in your misery and mocks your suffering.

"But You, O LORD, shall laugh at them; You shall have all the nations in derision. O You his Strength, I will wait for You.
For God is my defense." Psalm 59: 8-9

Suffering is the result of human sin. The world is not the way that God created it and because of that, all are vulnerable to the affects of sin in the world.
Why does one person suffer and another does not?
Why do catastrophes happen to some and not to others?
It is because sin is in the world.
But there will come a day when the Lord will return and cleanse this world of all sin and all suffering.

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away" (Rev. 21:4).

David, the writer of psalms, was speaking expressly of his enemies. If you read the entire 59th chapter you'll see that David was being hunted by men (Saul's)who wanted to kill him through no fault of his. In that time, during that psalm, David was praying that God thwart the plans of everything and everyone that would presume to destroy him. God doesn't determine who is saved and who is unsaved from before the time that they are born. God doesn't make these decisions for us, we do. Everytime that we turn our backs on God we make the decision to be blotted out of the book of life. We, as humans, were granted eternal life from God at the time of our creation; we, as humans, were the ones who chose to give up that immortality and we, as humans, will ultimately be the ones who determine whether or not we live with God forever or die. God doesn't triumph that any one of his children would turn their back on him. Each one of us that chooses sin is a personal defeat for God.

I think a lot of us fit one of those descriptions. I hope God loves me, I love Him. If this be true then it would explain my life. I'll just have to live with it, look what His plan was for His very own Son. I accept what ever God has in store for me. You may be right. I have been so confused lately about spirituality that I have decided I would rather be Christ like than Christian.
God bless us all...

Why are you spending time reading the Bible if you find it so foolish? Making a mockery of God is a very serious wrong. I will advise you to consider that before you continue with the mind set that you seem to have. It is truly a bad attitude to carry.

You can not take a part of a Psalm out of context like that. And God does not hate me or any of the people you have mentioned, but I think I just heard him shedding a tear over you...

Ok first off, you took that verse completly out of context, and you cant just do that! No offense, but your evidence is shockingly weak! Bad things happen to people because sin entered the world, once we ate from the tree of Good and evil, we became sinful. The Lord loves everyone, he sent his only son to die for us, why would he send his son to die for us if he hated us? Lose lose situation there. No he did it because he loves us!

God loves me but he will deal with you. I'm serious. Armageddon will annihilate all unrighteous and the righteous will inherit the earth. We won't miss you. Bye.

God hates no one. He hates sin and the choices we make that are not pleasing to Him. He loves us all and forgives anyone who sincerely repents and ask for his forgiveness.
