This topic really depends on your clarification of why you can't have that particular person. Sometimes people feel insecure and not confident in themselves and tell themselves that the person they love will never choose them. If that's the case, don't think of it that way. Any person can be with anyone, but just don't make the wrong moves.
If he just likes you as a friend, there are a lot of other people out there. It comes down to the question, "Would you choose the one you love or the one who loves you?" Someone is probably out there that has feelings for you, that's just how life is. Don't get too attached to this boy if he doesn't appreciate you for who you are.

Accept that you can't have this person and move on. Go out, meet new people. Have fun instead of dwelling on what you can't have. The pain will go away eventually.

well, depends...why can't you have them? I was in this situation myself for many years. I am married to a wonderful man, but have always been in love with his BF...now, with the blessing of my husband, I have both! Some might say I am a tramp, etc...but I am truly happy now.
