My dad is a type of person that likes to drink. But he's really verbaly abusive. He calls me fatass, worthless, dumbass, pathetic, gives my family a bad name. And sometimes he hits me. I'm sared, I don't know what to do. I drive but truck is gone. It needed fixed. So won't be done for a while and my mom is sleeping at her house. I don't know what to do? I guess I need some moral support. I'm 18 and I just need some good details on what I should do?

Avoid your dad as much as possible, at least when he is drunk. This sounds like the approach that your mom took.
If he gets verbally abusive, do your best to ignore it. Do not take what he says personally. He is speaking with a toxic mind. Do not let the toxic words reach you.
If he get physically abusive, consider calling the cops. If this action is not acceptable, then it is your life and your choices. Your dad needs professional help. If he does not seek it on his own, the cops would make sure that he got it in spite of himself.
Move out as soon as you can.

you are 18 and really you can do what ever you want. go to a friends are move out. you don't have to stay there with him when he is like that. my dad was the same way and i didn't know what to do either so i did nothing and he beat me up so bad that it wasn't funny. if i would have left that would have never happened. i didn't want to leave because i did love him so much. but sometimes that is the must thing to do.

friend
