some people come here and make inflamatory statements about jesus and homosexuality? A question just a few minutes ago prompted THIS question. Why is it done?

I'm fairly convinced that those who respond the most negatively to homosexuality are the most afraid of it...

fear is an awesome, and most often ignorant, force...

Edit: Check my questions... I asked in the LGBT forum how often the chistians go there to proselytize... the answer... too often. Sometimes I think they "protest too much."

I think some are just doing it as a dig at the blatant homophobia displayed by the more fundamentalist Xians.

Some are doing it for shock value.
Some might even mean it to make people think about their faith
(but I doubt this quess being right)

That is all the possible reasons I can think of.

Unless of course some of those saying it actually believe it.

Since I don't believe Jesus ever existed it is kind of a moot point to me. Kind of like asking if Hamlet enjoyed sleeping with his mom, pointless.

What do you consider inflamatory - Jesus using Sodom as a warning against unrighteousness four or five times in the Bible? If you are a Christian, I guess it not inflamatory. If you are homosexual, then I guess it is.

it is far easier to see the stick in someone elses eye than our own
personally im sick of hearing the whine
i dont care but many others do
and being beasts you have to ask what worse the reply or the question that throws the ball into the question areana so some fool can hit it out of the park venting his/her bias that seeks to blame /shame others for them to feel better
i really couldnt care
but have chosen to reply because so what
if some one comes here and says anything questionable
guess what some one is going to disagree
your fishing for a mate
so you phrase the question to vent the answers?
find your mate?
to what end is even the question asked to what end?
why was it done
to make a point
say poor me
poor you
some day your prince will come

You mean about Jesus being gay? That guy is just a troll. He thinks that he is really insulting Christians by that question. I am no Christian and even I doubt very seriously that the man Jesus was gay. He was married to Mary.

Maybe they make inflammatory statements about Jesus and homosexuality because they're
flaming closet Christian homosexuals.

It has been that way, infested with trolls since Yahoo closed the "discussion" bbs due to the same bad behavior there. Sad isn't it?

The are curious as to something they cannot understand so they 'act out' and make trouble for those who do. There must be a sense of curiosity or they wouldn't be in this section.

Hate. Insecurity. Trolling.

I'm going with teens trolling, it's a Friday night, after all.

They want to stir something up and get people off on bunny trails instead of just being kind to each other.
