As you can see from the answers, it begins very early. I would guess they were started in the cradle.

i do no longer think of we are all born atheist, we are taught interior the womb. As we advance older we bear in recommendations that which became taught to us interior the womb. If our mom became a believer we are able to have faith that very same ingredient whether merely for a time. The doubt and each thing the is going with it, dogma is interior the blood line. you're no longer any distinctive out of your mothers and fathers besides the fact that we would choose to have faith we are after we are youthful, yet we are no longer. i do no longer think of each and every thing they taught us even they suspect completely, yet them looking out the reality became in coaching you their doubts. "confusing to have faith yet genuine". yet this is how all of us study what's or isn't genuine. no person rather is familiar with if God is actual or no longer, yet all of us understand there is an greater being the doubt is obtainable in what to call it "guy or woman". whilst an Atheist we've faith some thing. Dogma is merely a call being made. that's what i've got faith.

AHEM - a new born is not atheist, Christian, left, right, up, down, democrat or Republican.
How we raise our children under what philosophy is our business much as it is yours when you start brain washing (as you call it) your child before he's really old enough to start reasoning for himself.
BUT -because we teach our children differently than atheists, you call it brain washing, but you are calling your indoctrination.., educating yours? to what end? You have made up your child's mind for him or her to see things your way and you wont have it any other way.
The irony here is thick.

We are not born atheists. Proof is the fact that every culture has some form of worship of the creator.
We are born with a desire for God written on our hearts.
Atheism is the result of indoctrination. It is a blatant refusal of a person to believe in anything other than himself.

Children can generally only understand things from their perspective up to the age of three, and I think that's usually when they are taught their parents' religion.

We aren't born atheists. Atheism is the belief that there is no god. We are born without the ability to fathom such a concept as a presence of or existence of a god.
I suppose if you had to describe it, you could say that we are born as agnostics - not able to know whether or not there is a god.

Jesus Christ said that we must become as little children to enter the kingdom of heaven. I spent most of my life with children.. I can assure you they are not born athiests and have much to teach "adults". I have to wonder by your statement how much you have listened to them or spent time with them???

We have one guy saying we are born gay.
We have another guy saying we are born atheists.
Do you see the pattern.
