He might like you, but he might be nervous or scared to express feelings to your face. He also might not be good socially in person. Whenever you seem him in school just try and start a conversation with him that you know he'll be wanting to talk about... like a recent sport's game or something, even if it's not interesting to you, it'll break the ice for you two in person and he'll eventually become more comfortable talking to you.

~Well, atleast he gives you a hug at school
which means he can't be pretending like you don't exist.
~Some guys are just not communicators!
Maybe, It's just part of his personality.
He may feel awkward and that may be his way of avoiding being embarassed by saying the wrong thing or saying it wrong altogether. It may not have any reflection of how he feels about you. And guys treat girls that are friends different than Girlfriends.~

He is probably nervous around girls, i have the same exact problem:( . It is very easy to type something into a computer and hitting enter without getting intimidated or anything but talking face to face is different. But i dont know for sure.

He like you, but doesn't know how toact around you physically. Over the internet he could be some one he wishes to be in real life. Next time you see him, drag him into a conversation so he gets comfortable talking to you in public.

I talk to this girl online all the time but she never really talks to me. It's because he likes you but doesn't want other people to know so it might be best to ask him out online instead of to his face.

For some it is so much easier to type or write their feelings...or act a certain way online then it is in person...The online thing shadows the timid natures of many.

Next time he asks for a hug, say: "Why?" Don't give him one until he has answered the question.

For most people, it is much easier to be flirtatious and open online. It is quite possible that he is too shy to act the same way face-to-face.

If you want more than that then ask him to go out with you. Complaining about it won't help anything. Talking to him will.
