Not everything that is prophesied is truthful. There could be many truths and one big lie. The other thing is how things are interpreted. Some have mentioned about a Dark Pope or someone else who is really in control. Possibly even spiritually. It does appear that we are in for some dark days. Prophecy says something about 3.5 years of peace of some alleged peace treaty. Maybe this has to do with Iran and it's Nuclear power. Whatever though. I have CNN to watch it all unfold if it's true anyway.

Don't believe it.
By the way, the prophecy doesn't say that Benedict will be the last pope, but it mentions that the 111th motto is "gloria olivae", or glory of the olives.
As yet, Benedict doesn't fit this particular bill. A Benedictine prophecy said that one of their order would some day occupy the Papacy, but that hasn't happened yet either. The 111th motto might indicate a Benedictine as one segment of their order is the Olivetans.
Nor does the prophecy of Malachy say that there will be no other popes between the 111th and Peter, it merely has no other mottos after this one.
Many of the popes listed have only "fulfilled" the prophecy through extreme study and search for a correspondence. Sometimes these seem almost absurd, but the faithful will go to many lengths to fit a prophecy to a situation.

Hello, Josie:
There are many people who believe in Malachy's predictions. After Glorious Olivea (Benedict), there is Petrus Romanus. However, if one believes that Satan has made these predictions, and shapes events to make them fulfill, then we can not be certain there will not be more popes.
Why??? Because God the Father only knows the "day and hour" of Christ's coming and Armageddon. And although Satan knows the approximate time for Christ's return, God can extend that time. That will require some additions to Malachy's list.
So do not be alarmed if they do not fulfill exactly as he predicts. The Church of Rome has not officially endorsed Malachy's list and also suggests that more popes may come.
These and other important events are described On-line in a book that breaks the code in the only part of the Bible that tells you that it can not be understood at the end of the days. It is very informative, that is why it was sealed.
Blessings and AGAPE love, One-Way

The Catholic Church has not declared the Prophecies of St. Malachi as divinely inspired.
Some modern scholars even think they are a forgery.
With love in Christ.
