The key way of becoming a professional ballet dancer (with hopes of climbing even higher in the professional world) is to train intensively with the very best teachers who were, themselves, professional ballet dancers in the top ballet companies. You could have a perfect ballet body and a rich family that pays for years and years of ballet classes, but without the proper training and priceless mentorship that comes from studying at the best ballet schools, you won't have a chance.

To start, practice of course! People who are prima ballerinas strive for it. They live and breath and sleep and eat and dance ballet every second. It is a serious commitment.
Every chance you get, dance. Take your regular dance classes throughout the year, and if you can handle it with school work and otehr commitments, go for 4 classes a week, couple hours a day. May sound like a lot if you are not yet doing that, but you need to work that hard if not harder.
Take summer intensive classes. Most have each student do a performance at the end, a great way to prepare for the future.
If you have the money, which many don't, get into an arts school for dancing. You'll get training about everyday, along with your studies. That's one of the best ways to become a GREAT dancer.

Work in other things as well, do not limit yourself to a dance company, work with theatre companies as well. Singing and acting does not have to be your thing, but musical theatre uses a LOT of dancing and background dancers, and most common would be jazz and ballet.

AND THAT IS JUST TO PRACTICE YOUR SKILL. You have to have great technique and get your name known. Performing leads in ballets such as Swan Lake, Giselle, and even the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker are saved for the principal dancers, and when you get those roles, you know you have talent.

But be warned it does not last forever. Unless you are injured, your dancing skill will last as long as you want it to, but more popular and more talented dancers will come into the company. You will still be a great dancer, but a new one will take your place sometimes so quickly you don't really get to enjoy it to better for the company.

I wish you luck. I did not even graze most of what you have to do, but I gave you are starting point. Work off of that, you will get places and learn the rest on your own. Again, good luck!

Well, the first thing to do is PRACTICE!!! And practice every day. Fix a barre to your wall so that you can do barre exercises to strengthen your muscles. And get a few mirrors so that you can look at your body and legs while you practice. That is very important. You must attend classes every week and try not to miss any. Also, you can train intensively with professional ballet dancers and learn from them. Buy some ballet DVDs to watch.

I can only give you 50% of help. The other 50% is up to you, whether you are disciplined and whether you want to make it work or not. If you're good enough, you may even get a scholarship to do ballet abroad. Who knows?
